Lemon yellow

 

Lemon yellow is an artificially produced, organic color pigment with a clear, clean, cool, yellow tone. The pigment, originally launched in 1910, belongs to the group of the so-called monoazo dyes, which are characterized by their good technical properties, i.a. a fantastic lightfastness, as well as their very clear, pure yellow, orange and red tones.

 

The different shades of this group of pigments largely correspond to the corresponding more toxic cadmium colors.

 

Lemon yellow is light, water, and oily.

Can be mixed with all colors.

 

Binders

 

Can be used with most binders, but is not recommended in alkaline mixtures such as lime, casein dyes, silicate dyes. Due to its very small particle size, lemon yellow has an increased binder requirement.

Can be used both indoors and outdoors.

 

Safety

 

The pigment is termed as non-toxic, but as the pigment is very fine-grained and caraway-strong, it is recommended to use a dust mask and gloves.
