Titanium white

 

Titanium white is an industrially produced, inorganic mineral paint, which is widely used in various painting techniques. The pigment has been manufactured since the 1920s. It is lightfast and has a particularly good opacity. Unlike zinc white, which together with a linseed oil varnish saponifies to a very hard surface, titanium white torn in oil will retain its flexibility, and will not crack or peel, even if exposed for many years.

 

The pigment is light, water, - oil, - and calcareous.
