Knots lacquer

Knots  lacquer from Borup is used to seal off the penetration of resin from knobs before painting woodwork.

Apply with a brush. The surface must be clean and dry before application. Knots and resinous areas are sanded and degreased before applying the knot varnish. For best results, consider applying 2-3 thin layers. The first layer blocks, the second seals.

The Knots varnish is Stirred/shaken thoroughly before use. Do not paint at temperatures below +5 ºC.

Safety 

Remember to use gloves when handling. Ensure good ventilation and avoid inhaling the product.

General requirements for the surface before painting:

The surface must be clean, dry and infection-free, as well as being firm and sustainable for a painting treatment before the application of stud varnish

Wood, untreated

Wood moisture maximum 16%, however 12% +/- 3% for doors and windows.

Knobs and resinous areas are scraped/sanded and degreased with purified gasoline before treatment.

For the best insulation effect, 2-3 applications are made on each knot. The first blocks, the second seals. Apply the Knots varnish in thin layers.
