Stand oil is a linseed oil that has been heated so that the viscosity changes to a more viscous consistency. It can be used as an additive in e.g. linoleum paint if you want a glossier appearance. It is a slow drying oil, so it is recommended to add siccative fort a fast drying. It can also be mixed with other oils.
